Shirley is currently a second-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Program at the University of Waterloo. She received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Waterloo and her B.Sc. in Honours Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour with a specialization in mental health from McMaster University. As part of her graduate training, Shirley works at the Centre for Mental Health Research and Treatment, the in-house clinic at the University of Waterloo, to provide assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. She has also completed a practicum with Hamilton Health Sciences at the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre in the Child and Youth Mental Health Outpatient Clinic program.
Shirley has conducted comprehensive psychoeducational and diagnostic assessments for youth across a range of cognitive, learning, behavioural, developmental, and social difficulties. She also has experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults with a number of concerns including anxiety, mood, and social difficulties.
In her free time, Shirley enjoys being active, traveling, and reading.
