Anna Bowers completed her doctoral degree in School and Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Toronto. She received a master’s degree in School Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Anna recently completed her clinical residency at SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health. She also trained in assessment and treatment at Lutherwood’s Children Mental Health Services, OISE Psychology Clinic, York Region District School Board, and various private practices in Toronto.
Anna provides comprehensive psychological/psychoeducational assessments for children and youth for a variety of issues related to learning and/or attention, giftedness, and social-emotional difficulties. She is passionate about collaborating with parents and school staff to address clients’ identified learning and mental health challenges. Anna also provides psychotherapy to children and youth for concerns such as anxiety/OCD, depression, stress, and behaviour. Using an integrated therapeutic approach, Anna seeks to help her clients better understand and address their unique challenges while building on their strengths. She also has an interest in helping parents support their children through behaviour and emotion-focused parent training.
In her spare time, Anna enjoys staying active with running and tennis, cooking and baking, and spending summer vacations with her family in Cape Cod.
